You will need a guitar, a tuner (you can tune your guitar free on my website) and some picks to start playing. It would also help to have a guitar case, a strap and eventually a capo so you can play easier in different keys.

It’s wise to understand as much as you can about guitars before you actually buy one. Buying a guitar that’s not suitable for you can get you to quit playing real quick.
